I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Full of opportunities to understand the top tier companies.

    Cons

It would do a little bit better to provide crystal promotion path or role model to follow for the career path.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A beautiful fulfillment center where you can get a lot of experience with general warehouse duties.
Fast paced and can be fun. It's honestly what you make it. Great benefits for days.

    Cons

Crazy turn over rate. If you're not on top of the rules and what you to do as an associate most likely you will be fired with the swiftness.

    Advice to Management

Managers are usually younger than you and fresh out of 2 year college. It can be upsetting when you are trying to ask questions to be the best you can when you are looked over for not being interesting enough to be a friend to them.

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

Ambitious pace, super smart people, I deeply admire the company, compensation mostly based on RSU's. Amazon best years are yet to come

    Cons

Tough culture, people that are harsh and to some extent rude tend to do well and get promoted. That said, culture has been improving since the NYT article

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is dog-friendly and the dress code is casual (see ya, high heels!). The expansion/growth strategy is staggering and it's kind of cool to get to go into all the new buildings in Seattle.

    Cons

There are very few perks (just three, actually: 1) dog-friendly, 2) casual dress, and 3) free tampons) and the total benefit package is lackluster. Most work spaces are "high density", which means an open area crammed full of desks, such that it's too loud to even have work-related phone calls from your desk. Your compensation package will be stock-rich and base poor. Do not expect annual base increases to even match typical cost of living increases. A 2.5% increase is rare. Instead, you might get stock grants for two years in the future (but will you be able to stay long enough for vesting?). Amazon does not believe in motivating behaviors through any sort of positive reinforcement.

    Advice to Management

Focus on hiring managers who have demonstrated emotional intelligence and empower them to independently reward employees.
