I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Designated work hours and days
-40 Hour weeks in 4 days
-If you do your job well you can avoid management
    -Slowly gain PTO and vacation

    Cons

Too many to list so ill do 5 big ones.

-Guaranteed OVERTIME could be four hours or an extra day added to shift, taxes get so high its better to not even work the shift

-Management is absolutely pathetic, don't even know half of the people that report to them. Don't bother asking for help you will become a target.

-Every position requires rate to be made, whether its 13 or 40 an hour if you do not hit your target you will be retrained and ultimately let go

-Unless you are legitimately dying do not even bother trying to take a leave of absence, your spouse could be terminally ill and they wouldn't understand.

-Ultimately working here strips you of your humanity. You walk through metal detectors after shifts to ensure your not stealing. You get a 3x3 tiny locker to store your belongings in. The break rooms are a joke and the fridges are pretty gross too. This is nothing more than a job and the people that actually try to enjoy the job are even more pathetic. Do not try to make a career at this place.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade your internal networks. I was constantly tracked with inaccurate data in both good and bad ways. Cut people more slack and there would be less turnover.
