I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You create your own culture with your team, while having the ability to enhance processes that drive your department and building's performance. Compensation from an external hire is enough to take your mind off pay to focus on performing at a high level. Work life balance is great! I work 4 days 12 hours. In previous jobs I worked the same daily hours with a 5th or 6th day and calls after I got off work.

    Cons

As I have read there are many people with a focus on themselves and their own agenda. So yes there are issues with the culture as a whole. However, as a leader you can set the culture in your own department and shape how your peers and senior leaders interact with you. Culture is everyone's responsibility. 401k is not good, 1/2% match up to 4% for a max of 2%.

    Advice to Management

With every interaction with senior leadership culture and safety seem to be the priority. Keep pushing and hiring those leaders that care about development and people. The change will happen.

I worked at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay, they offer benefits, offer unpaid time off when slow

    Cons

If you don't make an impact you get nixed as seasonal, many people were previously employed seasonal and didn't make the cut on several occasions.

    Advice to Management

HR misinformed that full-time conversions were available but that was incorrect, they also lack tact and professionalism as HR Staffing members.
