I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than a year
Pay is good; network contacts that work in regular fullfillment centers tell me it's a ton of work; and that work/life balance suffers, but that generally they are happy.
Avoid the Amazon Sort Centers! Punitive, negative and backstabbing. Too much FedEx influence - where you attack the person, not the process and promote a toxic environment. Over 100% turnover of salaried managers in two years indicate that no matter how much Amazon pays, people aren't going to put up with it.
Advice to Management
Return to Amazon's core principles; assume positive intent and help remove barriers rather than assemble new ones to make things even worse.Amazon2015-11-08
