I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you need any help with lifting or pulling you are most likely to get assistance from your fellow coworkers. The pay is great.

    Cons

Meeting your weekly quota, 100%, is definitely a challenge based on the amount of freight that come in.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to focus more on discrimination in the facility.

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good and goes up fast.

    Cons

Not enough hours, no consideration for why you're missing time, not managed properly, no one knows what they're doing who is above you, everyone has different answers to things, favoritism, the worst managed company in the world. You can get written up for making 99.9% rate and they don't care what your reason is to why you're .1% under rate, which in turn could actually make you lose your job. No job security. Only work there if you can only care about money not working conditions.

    Advice to Management

Know more then you're associates under you. Which will NEVER happen. My one manager never had a job before, fresh out of college learning how to manager a baseball team.

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the best co workers. That's about it. Need at least 20 words.

    Cons

Very demanding arrogant company to work for and do business with. Amazon has the bully mentality. They make it no secret that they dont need you and you are lucky to be there. Amazon will burn you out then replace you. Very good at what they do from a customer perspective but they treat employees like crap. Very anti union and will close a distribution center if they try to unionize.

    Advice to Management

Stop being a crappy company to work for. Appreciate your employees.

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

3 days off a week, meet different people and make new friends, great benefits and vacation time, good pay

    Cons

Mandatory overtime without notice, high turnover, 1,000% favoritism among PA's and Management, tiredness and horrible pain throughout body, transfers based on favoritism, Peak season is the worst time to be working there unless you like overtime and almost 11 hour shifts

    Advice to Management

Having the same people get pulled night after night for the same tasks is unfair and frustrating to the employees. Also high favoritism is an issue among transfers and PA's.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Good benefits, the management & coworkers are very helpful. Very diverse, you get to know people with different backgrounds. Good place to work.

    Cons

Long hours. At the beginning would be hard to get used to the hours, 10-11 hours during peak season. You're expect to meet your goals, which are reasonable for some people but difficult for others.

    Advice to Management

Managers are moved around so often. That's of the things I dislike about the job, You would hardly ever get know them.
