    Pros

Good pay if the work is there

    Cons

Amazon have no control over companies that hold contracts for drivers' rounds The system they have in place rewards drivers who cut corners - no incentive for those who value customer service

    Advice to Management

Reward drivers who offer exceptional customer service rather than playing the numbers game

I worked at Amazon full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Really cool team, the people you were with are usually smart and interesting. I made some good friends there

    Cons

    - There was a clear preference for British staff who would get promoted much faster than the non-brits, to progress you had to do side projects, however they were not made public but were discreetly attributed in the background.... - If you had issues, you could not really voice them unless you wanted to be black-listed and labelled a negative grump. - The quotas were simply impossible to reach unless you cheated,...

    Advice to Management

It is tough on management because ultimately they have a lot of pressure on their shoulders too, it comes from much higher up, and let's face it, Amazon can take the turn over, people are rushing at the door to work there because it looks good on the CV, I cannot see them change or why they would want to change because from their point of view, it works..

    Pros

Amazon is a large innovative company with a diversity of departments and roles offered. If you are willing to learn and work hard, the company can really develop potential.

    Cons

The size and scope of the company means one can sometimes feel like just a 'number' to be counted and utilised in function. Also, there is a slight tendency to throw you into the 'deep end' of operations without much training and see how you cope.

    Advice to Management

More engaged training with new staff would go a long way to making them feel overwhelmed when entering the fast paced world of Amazon.

    Pros

Prestigious marque that requires no introduction. Growing business with so many potential different arms to grow your career

    Cons

Surprisingly constantly chaotic with a need to have the ability to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities on a daily basis. Certainly twenty somethings employees are attracted by the brand name and it's advertised values, but are often sadly disappointed by poor leadership.

    Advice to Management

Take a good strong look at the values you espouse, and look to achieving that with your staff in the UK!

I have been working at Amazon

      Pros

It has good pay rates, you have more flexibility regarding working times.

      Cons

Sometimes not many blocks available, also some days you are given 50 up to 60 parcels to deliver in 4 hours block when in FAQ's it says your expectations are around 40 per block, then obviously you don't have time to do it, so is a way to push people to work overtime unpaid, bank holidays are paid the same money.

      Advice to Management

First keep the word of not having more than 40 parcel per block as you state in you webpage, also i strongly would suggest to improve application maps because many times GPS don't recognise address and if you are not in the range of few feet you are not allowed to deliver and consequently is worsening our work and customer as vice at once.

        Pros

-Working 4 days and off 3 days but was10 hours shift's -good pay if you get hours, Christmas period usually In the beginning it was challenging and little support given from supervisors as they except you to pick up rather quickly with the threat of being moved to nights. It comes down to whether your manager/supervisor likes you to how quick you progress/learn. The company has a lot of favoritism I was the only...

        Cons

-Bad management being an agency staff almost everyone with a blue badge think their better -No voice given to agency staff and different teams do not get along very well i.e am, pm, night; with a competitive nature each team will blame the other very easily -favouritism -might just be the depot that I worked for and did not transfer as others were rather a distance away and seemed pretty similar

        Advice to Management

I never liked the management but this largely comes down to HR as they allow this behavior/environment probably part of the company's ridiculous structure of competitiveness
