I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

Alot of room for advancement...great benefits

    Cons

Not enough room. Vans get in the way.

    Advice to Management

Start cutting the fat. Get rid of the lazy people, people who talk more than work, people who take break at 9:15am and return to work at 10am, just to restock bags, and if they can't fulfill the lifting requirements, let them go. They are slowing down other workers down, because they are lazy, and want other workers to do their work. Sort Team need to stop over stuffing the bags. I had a bag that was 102 pounds, and the weight requirement is 49 pounds. Someone can get seriously injured. But I love my staff, besides some bad apples, and the ambassadors are really nice. I plan on being at Amazon for a really long time!

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a good workout, and it's normally a consistent schedule.

    Cons

Not enough time off, no room to grow
Working hard will get you no where in this company. I have been here a year, and I have only seen certain genders and races get promoted. They were the laziest, worst workers you could imagine, and they get promoted to higher statuses. I only see females being promoted, and while that is not a bad thing, these females cannot do their job.
Best advice at this job, be lazy and you will possibly get promoted if you're the right race or gender. Their "Management" here, pretty much twerks on their shifts (I have seen it multiple times), and cannot act like an actual professional, and that is why they cannot get even the simplest of tasks done at this facility.

    Advice to Management

Hire professional people who take their job seriously. These people are literally scrapped off the streets it seems in their professionalism.

I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

The only pro is having a job?

    Cons

There are hardly fans in the building. It's always hot. The pay does not factor out correctly with the amount of work taking place in those conditions. Walmart warehouse workers receive at least 4 dollars more than what Amazon is paying. That is a shame coming from a company that wants their customers to be happy! If employees are overworked and underpaid, how can you expect to have boxes delivered without any incidents. The company gave out small snacks and refreshments for prime week. I would prefer to be PAID or receive monetary incentives for the extra work and labor. Another thing that must be addressed is the demand for employees to exhaust themselves by doing 180 packages an hour. I would advise Amazon to stop doing virtual HR for everything because the ambassadors need guidance on how to become better leaders. You have to lead by example. Not working and following employees into the restroom to watch them is a shame. We are all adults and things of this nature shouldn't happen.
