I worked at Amazon (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazon is great company to work for as Control System Specialist.

    Cons

Amazon being an E-Commerce is not very user friendly. It was very difficult to obtain information and technical help from other co-workers worldwide.

    Advice to Management

It's better to have interaction with the group your managing on daily basis, that way employees get know the management better and in time of needs employees are more eager to approach them.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, bonuses, and time off are great! Wages are mediocre, but the bonuses and overtime go a long way. I get a lot of satisfaction from being able to develop creative projects and try them out in production.

    Cons

Tasked with solving complex problems with very little budget and time. There tends to be a large degree of finger-pointing instead of learning and moving forward. It seems as though spying, tattling, chopping legs out from underneath co-workers, and crying "it's not fair", gets you ahead in this organization.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Probably a great company for young aggressive people who want to succeed with just a high school education

    Cons

More of a sweat shop environment with very high employee turnover

    Advice to Management

Recognize talent and pay them accordingly not the one size fits all approach and now all things within a successful organization can be built from the top down
