I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

Decent pay, varying shifts, ability to lose weight

    Cons

    Where do I start...
    -poor leadership skills
-inefficient equipment (I.E. scanners and rabbit
-safety concerns or issues regarding improving safety are often ignored
-very limited training, if any real training at all
-promoting up doesn't come with pay raises or any other incentives, it's voluntary
-logic is hardly ever used to increase efficiency and reduce congestion on the floor
    -very high attrition rate

    Advice to Management

The sortation facility would be much more efficient and may actually ret as in employees if everyone in the gallery didn't run around like a headless chicken. So many things can be done to help worth better flow of the warehouse

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Specially if you don’t have any college degree or other type of experience. 40 hours per week plus voluntary over time every time for those that need the extra hours.

    Cons

Working in a 4x6 area for 10hrs straight by yourself makes the day go by really slow.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -gift cards
    -my team manager and esa
    -co-workers

    Cons

Job started out good as a dispatch associate and then took a turn for the worst. We were told the day before that we would change to cx calls. Which was fine but the training was no help at all. Expectations are high for nothing.

    Advice to Management

    -Communication is key
-integrate in-depth training resources rather than sending us to the dogs.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation package; Local Team/People; Location (near a plethora of beaches); Work Schedule when circumstances are normal; Growth Opportunities; Ability for rapid change, as an individual and as an organization

    Cons

The long drawn-out hiring process; The heavily increased volume and hours leading into and throughout Peak; Sometimes lack of training or resources internally to accomplish the mission ahead - necessitates improvising or coming out of pocket a lot

    Advice to Management

Sustain current trajectory towards long-term talent development and remember APEP.

    Cons

unfortunately they couldn't work with me on my hours and i am a single mum of two and their daycare wasn't open early enough for me to make it to work on time.

    Advice to Management

Please consider people sometimes cant do the hour before and give them the extra day as an alternative.

I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

Interview process is a joke. Anyone can get hired.

    Cons

Amazon hires 100+ people at a time, and then has no positions for them to fill. I was hired for the St. Petersburg sorting facility at a career fair, almost a month ago. Amazon offered jobs to anyone who could pass a background check and drug screen. There was no interview process. I am still waiting for my start date, and get emails saying they don’t have any open shifts available except for these specific times. They offer a 4 hour shift and tell you that you will have to either come in early or stay late. This is the worst hiring process I have ever been part of. Don’t waste your time, unless you can afford to wait a long time to start working.

    Advice to Management

Your hiring process needs severe adjustment. If you took the time to interview people you could learn so much about who is going to be a good worker.

    Pros

It is easy to get hired.

    Cons

Rate of pay and turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

If an associate does not work out in a department they were placed in, and shows that they are willing, place them in a different department and not trash them.
