I have been working at Amazon as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am so satisfied with this position. It's a good pace and in occupational health. I'm in a leadership role and the associate's appreciate my skills. Plenty of opportunity to advance and very nice compensation and insurance.

    Cons

If you're used to the ambulance or fire pace. This probably isn't for you. If you're new to ems or fire then you won't want this position yet. This is for seasoned ems and fire personnel, who seek more indoor, slower paced work with top notch assessment, treatment and critical thinking skills.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the positive impact on your staff.

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Befits start on first day and there is very little supervision. Pays pretty good and you get ot.

    Cons

You are time tracked, so if you have to go to the bathroom or move to a different area you have to hurry. It's hard to find a supervisor or a manager if you need them.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and easy job when they are not changing policies and the equipment is working.

    Cons

Policy Changes everyday and the AMZL team gets an attitude when you ask them something. Packages are miss sorted which makes you have to dig for one package in several bags. Some packages not received at hub so you have to call in and get it fixed which takes up a lot of your time. Routing gives you little travel time to get from one delivery to the other and apartments are the worst. The rabbit (scanner) has major issues. Routing gets messed up and it goes down all the time. I could go on and on but I will not. My advise, not worth it.

    Advice to Management

Treat your contracted drivers with respect. Listen to what they are telling you. They are the boots on the ground dealing with the issues.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to get hired, they will hire literally anybody who walks in the door, good wage for entry level position, good benefits

    Cons

The quotas for some positions are too high and cause people to quit, leaving us continually understaffed, breaks are too short

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay for the regions in which they operate. That said, they tend to operate in very poor areas.

    Cons

Pushing for rate constantly compromises safety, and safety incidents are blamed on the employees rather than there being any consideration for the fact that they are driving people so hard.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites among the lower management. That really makes working there a special kind of hell.
