I have been working at Amazon full-time

        Pros

Great opportunity for a great company

        Cons

10 hours on your feet every day

      • Unorganized, unhelpful, and rude. Do not work here. Do not fall for their “Same Day Hire” offers.

I worked at Amazon part-time for more than a year

        Pros

Honestly, I’m not even sure if there is a pro. I guess that some of the people were nice at first? And it seemed easy to do. If you don’t have any physical problems, it should be a fine place to work.

        Cons

I don’t know where to start. There is the lack of organization, the laziness to fix their problems, favoritism, and the ability to not work with their employees. My main issue in the warehouse was they (or should I say their “random generator”) would put me in inbound and have me unload the trucks. Now, I have requested to maybe have me go else where to easier sections of the warehouse because I have rheumatoid arthritis...

        Advice to Management

Get it together please and actually listen and help your employees. Also, if you don’t want people with disabilities (like myself) working there, actually tell us what the job description is instead of making everything sound nice and fun on your “same day hire” events. And stop pretending to care and actually care! Once I started working at amazon, I realized how fake everyone was when they said amazon was a fun, caring...

        Cons

        A lot of walking/standing

        Advice to Management

I have been working at Amazon for more than a year

        Pros

Managers in the warehouse made it bearable and understood that the job sucked. They'd try to be good about giving us extra hours when needed and provided food. That felt like a one off at the warehouse I worked at though.

        Cons

Lack of safety training, no screening on who was hired and occasionally we would have people with serious anger issues managing packages and endangering others, Job was so physically exhausting that keeping a life outside of Amazon felt impossible. Company throws bodies at a problem rather than look for a solution and endangers employees in the process.
