I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Wage plus stock options. I also got health insurance including mental heath coverage which I needed.

    Cons

Nonsensical Stack Ranking system. This was based one hundred percent on favoritism rather than metrics or performance. This system runs off people who are professional and have integrity, and retains those who are willing to falsify their work and lie about colleagues.

    Advice to Management

I can't really give advice to management because it rotates every six months to a year. My advice would be start looking for another job before you are disappeared.

    Advice to Management

ADVICE ( from the bottom of my hear ) DON’T HIRE FOR SKILLS AND IGNORE ATTITUDE: Experience, no matter how vast, is useless when it is not shared with others. Teaching skills is very easy. But you can’t train enthusiasm, a solid work ethic, and great interpersonal skills – and those traits can matter a lot more than any skills a candidate brings. SO, when in doubt, hire for attitude. You can train almost any skill,...

I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The lack of experienced management in Amazon allows you to collect a lot of experience.

    Cons

You are most of the time alone in your career growth, in learning internal systems as well as hard skills.

    Advice to Management

Stop obsessing yourself with micromanagement and start participating in the job, understanding what is it that we are doing in Amazon, and trust the people that deliver results. Also, stop trying to justifying any absurdity coming from your superiors, have backbone disagree and commit (you only commit...).

I worked at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Colleagues from all over the world

    Cons

Mundane and repetitive work. Management makes you feel like you're easily replaceable and not appreciated. Like some others have mentioned before, managers really count every minute of your breaks and non-productive time and most of them have no clue about people management. The job description sounds interesting and most employees have been promised great career opportunities (and were often lied to by HR), but in...

    Advice to Management

Don't hire overqualified people. It was clear that they would find out about the real nature of their job sooner or later and leave as soon as they can.

I worked at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Haha I don't think you can find any. Maybe the free coffee.

    Cons

If you are offered a job as a fraud investigator, have a laugh and the run. Management is a joke, they employed kids from India and Costa Rica who used to work as customer service associates - they are simply inept and should not be there. They are also sadistic, they time how long the employees spend in the toilet and eating and then use that information against them. The culture is toxic: it will ruin your life and...

I worked at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The only pro about working for Amazon is the ability of standing up for yourself and speaking up after this unique experience. Realizing that you are a worth much more than this company treats you, being able to say no to modern slavery. This experience traumatized me but also made me a lot stronger. Thank you Amazon :)

    Cons

I worked as a Fraud Investigation Specialist for a year, it was all good to begin with, however everything got worse as the time passed. Micro management is the key word for Amazon. If you like being controlled and watched, this is the job for you. The targets were raised every few months, making it practically impossible for one to get to a higher level. Once you had finally reached your goal, they were raised again....

You've lost someone that is hard working, speaks four languages and has a Master's degree, think about this for a moment.
