    Pros

Great people to work with. Company is built on core values. If you are always on time, and don't give up you can move up really fast.

    Cons

Can be stressful job at times but is a fast growing company. One must adapt to change.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing a great job!

I worked at Ambit Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance, exciting opportunities and new challenges through out my time at Ambit Energy. Learned more in 1 year at Ambit than 4 years at bigger, more established organizations. Leadership is always looking at ways to improve and create a working environment that promotes an entrepreneurial spirit. Be ready! Things are fasts paced but fun!

    Cons

Downtown location means too much traffic on the commute unless you're taking the DART. Occasionally change in direction can impact velocity, but flexibility is a must.

    Advice to Management

Growing company means a lot of changes - communicate changes when possible so teams can be ready to adopt. Continue involving the team on driving change and vision for the PM team and IT.

Laid-back work environment. Great Leadership. Depending on which department you are in- your day to day life and management can vary drastically.

    Cons

    underpaid for comparable job duties

    Advice to Management

provide a clear path/route for career advancement. Reward employees who wish to take on more challenging roles.

I worked at Ambit Energy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Benifits: health insurance, profit sharing, and yearly bonus and raises

    Cons

Management is horrible the mangers use to be nice, helpful & supportive but the director had turned them into mean, uncaring robots. If you don't party (get drunk and act like idiots) you will not go far. Only people who have been promoted since 2015 on consultant Support are lazy unknowledgeable suckups.

    Advice to Management

Replace all management. VP is great nice easy to talk to but never there to see what really goes on. Our slogan is never sacrifice integrity for growth, but you can't sacrifice integrity if you never had it.

I have been working at Ambit Energy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They will always be hiring if the best keep leaving. With a CTO who blows hot and cold its no wonder all the best talent is leaving. Ok, a pro is that they have a suite at the Verizon Theater and if you are lucky you can use it.

    Cons

Poor leadership, unrealistic deadlines, knowledge is leaving. Management respect the weakest and run out those who are open and honest. Ambit says its a software company but with each team separate, and a philosophy of promoting their best developers to leadership positions where they can't develop, it's no wonder they are losing so many great developers. Maybe the CEO will have to take up developing again

    Advice to Management

Respect your staff. Know what your staff are good at and let them do that. Don't ask them to work hard them come down hard when they make mistakes.

    Pros

You determine your salary with hard work, dedication, it all pays off.

    Cons

Training is o.k. You have to learn how to sell and market your business

    Advice to Management

It has improved, however, the longevity of team members is a problem

    Pros

The company has some really smart people who are hard workers and they keep all of the lazy people afloat. The pay is really good, but you have to deal with a stupid amount of stress and inflexibility.

    Cons

I am embarrassed to note how a group of adults cannot work together across different departments to get a project complete. The egos, the gossip, the backstabbing - it's high school all over again. They chase good people away that want to make change because they are so resistant to change.

    Advice to Management

Please, please get better managers and/or get the current managers trained. They are incapable of relating to their subordinates on a human level and lack the basic experience to be good, engaging mangers.
