I have been working at Ambition full-time

    Pros

Ambition really cares about its employees and strives to keep us happy and positive at every step. The culture is flawless - professional, friendly and hardworking; the work-hard play-hard attitude totally applies. Support is available whenever it is needed and really makes a high pressured and deadline heavy job hugely enjoyable and rewarding. Not only are there great opportunities for progression, fresh graduates that are new to recruitment receive in depth training, tailored to their specific strengths and weaknesses.

    Cons

Compared to other office jobs it could be said that the hours are longer than other companies. However, more often than not people are either coming in earlier or leaving later than these times anyway. You need self-motivation in this job and you get out what you put in. It's completely in your hands to how committed you are.

    Advice to Management

There really isn't anything negative for me to say to management. As far as advice goes I would say keep doing what you're doing because I feel completely in the loop with the company and know that I could approach any member of management with a potential issue.

I have been working at Ambition full-time

    Pros

-Great culture, very welcoming and friendly teams.

-Very accessible Learning & Development team with great training.

-Good sized organisation, big enough to have strong resources behind you but small enough that it still feels like you're working with friends.

    - Strong promotion of ethical, responsible recruitment and good internal audit policies.

    - Very clear outline on what needs to be done if you want to move up in the company. very clear structure and good internal opportunities if you want them

    Cons

The business needs to be quicker to exit people who are not displaying good qualities or capabilities.

    Advice to Management

It's a great company with a great team but more opportunities for team building/internal events would be appreciated.

I have been working at Ambition full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Less salesy than a lot of recruitment agencies
Lots of fun internal events and socials organised on a regular basis
Given the autonomy to build your own desk and take charge of career development
Great senior management team who are approachable, down to earth and supportive

    Cons

It's up to you to make your career progression happen - they have training programs in place but you need to be proactive about it. However if you are good at what you do you can move up the ladder pretty quickly.

    Cons

None that I can think of at the moment!

    Advice to Management

Keep up with the open and transparent communication from above and listening to what the ground has to say.

I worked at Ambition full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great colleagues
    - Good recruitment philosophy (big agency coverage with small boutique service approach)
    - Great I.T. infrastructure, support, powerful tools
    - Not a shark tank, clear roles and remits

    Cons

No real downside here, employees are empowered to succeed and the company makes everyone feel involved even if they're not on the recruiting frontlines. The company is pushing more on digital lead generation now, but a bit behind on this front.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with the progress to make the company one of the best in Hong Kong. The brand is held with high regard, but they need to focus on a changing market and build relationships with the SME - Medium sized services business space.

Very innovative business that puts consultants first.

    Great career opportunities

    Cons

Currently been made less like a recruitment business and more like an accounting business.
