I work with a really amazing team of Ambius employees. Going to work with plants and flowers is lots of fun. Lots of hours to be had.

Cons

My branch is amazing. Sometimes the national sales team sells ideas to customers that are almost impossible to achieve (as long as the company is willing to allow me the hours I am willing to try and make it work)

Pros

Creativity can thrive in this industry. Working with plants can be therapeutic. Get to be out and about town every day. Never boring.

Cons

Upper management makes poor decisions when it comes to staffing and management choices. They don't ask the proper questions to make informed decisions. Quality suffers for the sake of making high profits. Buying out other businesses, but can’t handle what they already have. Front line employees underpaid. I worked there for 15 years and was told my job was eliminated during a five minute phone conversation, without an ounce of empathy. Company has no direction whatsoever.

Working with plants, some nice people to work with, pretty good benefits.

Management seems disorganized, ever changing with no real improvements that fall down to workers. Promises made and not kept. Job description at interview ended up not realistic. Open positions not filled for lengthy times requires others to pick up the slack and be overworked. Some decisions seems penny wise and pound foolish. Don't feel supported by administrative staff.

Pros

Working with plants and customers that believe in adding enhancements to the work place is very rewarding.

Ambius does not provide what we need to properly service our customers. Most technicians and operations managers are over worked and underpaid. High unrealistic expectations that in the end affect the customer. In the past year when someone leaves their work is absorbed by others and they are not replaced causing more stress out in the field and it shows to the customer and the bottom line. No support for those that are in direct contact with customers. Back in the day we were like family, encouraged to support one another now the culture is fend for yourself. Management lies and does not listen. They say they will hire and don't. They say it will get better and it's gotten worse. Worst holiday season every....was an embarrassment to present product to our customer and most of us were overworked. Not safe to push some that hard.

Pros

Some great people to work with,unfortunately not the people in management. New management company cleared out many of the knowledgeable experienced workers for easier to manipulate newer trainees or flunkies. Continue to learn and love working with plants.

Cons

Poor communications within the company. Misleading information, set up for failure with overload of work on the willing and able. No good deed goes unpunished. Never a real productive conversation with management more of a patriarchy " Father Knows Best" approach. Very disturbing now that I think about it. Uneven pay scale throughout the company.

Pros

Starting wages and benefits are competitive, if not great. See lots of people and workplaces great for networking. Self-management is key. Self-scheduling is encouraged. Work with plants. Work with people who love working with plants.

Cons

Company only cares about making money. "Points" to earn swag have basically replaced raises. Workloads increase steadily, but rewards do not. Employees get frustrated. People are disposable. Organizational structure is totally vertical, resulting in predictable norms of communication. Company only cares about making money. Costs get cut, but fees get raised. Promises don't get kept. Customers get frustrated.
