    Pros

Decent to good salary, employees are very nice and easy to work with, benefits are good but very expensive.

    Cons

Very little training, no clear direction as to the priority of projects that needed to be done from upper management, poor communication between direct supervisors, no loyalty to employees at all.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to practice better business ethics. When an employee has one medical emergency at the office, something that never happened to them before & didn't happen again when terminated 3 months later. The medical situation, if ongoing could've effected job performance & abilities to perform job. HR & upper management should talk to the employee ask to see all test results from doctors & specialists that were done. Then make a decision based on that information or offer another position Since the employee had good performance reviews, told they were an asset a week before termination, worked an average of 55 hours a week on salary (no overtime) & on call 24/7. Poor conduct & ethics when 3 months after incident nothing was said or dicussed then, 1 week after Christmas & a very good performance review was terminated without any warning, only reason given was cut backs. Then, severance package is withheld until a document is signed stating that the company can't be held liable for wrongful termination. Very poor business ethics.

I worked at Amboy Bancorp part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The corporate culture is flat, the leadership is commendable, and the employees are a joy to be around.

    Cons

The pay is lower than similar positions in the market.

    Advice to Management

Recruit out of college to get the most talented rather than slim pickings.

I worked at Amboy Bancorp part-time

    Pros

Very friendly coworkers and a decent salary. In my time working there I felt appreciated and never overlooked. All in all a very good place to start a career.

    Cons

Benefits could be a little better. Also some of the hours were a bit random. A bit more transparency with scheduling could help personnel plan some vacation time a bit better.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you pay attention to coworkers relationships a bit better. Some people did some things that should have been disciplined but instead had a blind eye turned to them.
