I worked at Amdocs as a contractor (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    It's a job and u get a check

    Cons

    Everything:
    Low employee morale
Incompetent shady management team that will not hesitate to throw u under the bus for any reason OR no reason at all
No logic or continuity in how work is distributed
99% of those in management and team lead roles are weak in regards to processes and business knowledge. More often than not they dont know what's going on and when the .. hits the fan they do whatever's necessary to cover their behind.... Including but not limited to throwing their direct reports under the bus, negative side chats etc.
Work processes are mundane, redundant and repetitive. Instead of soliciting feedback from those who actually do the work, leadership goes into a room and decides what processes work best based on their super limited knowledge. Yes, IT'S A JOKE so please save yourselves unless you desperately need a check and/or you are up for dealing w daily bs

    Advice to Management

Clean house!!! Pay attention to your company. Those in middle management positions are bringing down the firm

I worked at Amdocs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people I work with every day were dedicated to doing a great job, and everyone was always helpful in resolving issues. It was always the people that make me want to go to work each day. Sometimes a job can be come routine, this most days was not.

    Cons

    Middle management was somewhat impersonal.

    Advice to Management

Management asked the right questions over the years, but I never felt that they always cared about the answers. It was always about the bottomline not the people. While the people are the greats asset to this business, as the jobs were outsourced to cut cost, there was never a statement that they valued what they had. As I was cut the only manger that made me feel valued was my direct manager, that was the big surprise that I did not here anything from the ones above them.
