I have been working at Amdocs full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible Work Hours, Good Health Insurance Coverage

    Cons

Scope of Growth is limited, Annual Salary hikes are nothing but a farce. Annual Bonus payout for above average performance is not even half of one month's take-home salary. Employee Recognition, Benefits are on steep decline. When HR is being asked about providing Salary Hikes and Benefits - the HR Team's Focal Point responded:
    - Who is dying ? (10+ Year loyal employees seldom complain).
    - What's your attrition rate ? (Most employees from Overseas are stuck due to VISA status)

    Advice to Management

Please be sensitive to employees also rather than paying attention only to Dividend Payouts/Shareholders/Board of Trustees. Employees might be just a cog in the wheel, but without that cog, the wheel will not rotate.

    Pros

Global, great benefits, interesting technology. Employees have an opportunity to do interesting work and assignments that expands across locations. Truly a global reach. Flexible work from home options.

    Cons

Limited promotional career growth unless you work at the headquarters oversees. In fact, that's where all major decisions are made, resulting in a subset of the company population driving everything for all of the other global regions. Tends to make the rest of the company feeling like they are on the outside looking in. Considering most of the revenue is generated in the US, and in other countries, outside of the HQ location, it makes for a peculiar power imbalance. The promotions, rewards, and opportunities happen in one country, while the rest of the larger employee base operates as an outpost. The worst part is that employees get used to this unhealthy arrangement that they hardly notice that their empowerment has been zapped away from them.

    Advice to Management

Not one employee in the company likes "Horizon", a demotivating flattening of the organization that stops upward career movement and causes confusion and lack of transperensy across the entire company.we will never get used to it or like it. Listen to your employees.

Stop limiting raises and bonuses while bagging to shareholders about how much money you make.

    Fully Empower other regions.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Depends where you are and who you know... How well and how loud you can pressure is the way to win in there....

    Cons

Couple weeks work slowdown and possible you will be quickly start to be pressured to find an kick out folks with higher cost.
Trying to be "like" a high value consulting firm with fat margins by finding internal outsourcing to lowest cost center locations.

    Advice to Management

Internal mobility very unfriendly, very opaque. More or less useless namesake or processes.
Unless "special connections and internal networking" doomed in progression opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Need skilled managers in their C-One billing software support and less people and level that do nothing more than cause dysfunction.

    Pros

Global Company with potential to be exposed to many different industries. That is if you're fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time with the right manager.

    Cons

Great if you're in management. If not be prepared to take on jobs that require a resource with no thought given to your job preference or working hours. Management likes to fill jobs with whoever is available at the time. I had 3 managers in 3 years. Only one manager out of the three seemed to care about my career goals.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your direct employees. We make you look good.
