I have been working at Amdocs full-time

    Pros

If you have the skill, Amdocs has the work to keep you busy.

    Cons

Lack monetary incentive or promotion. Bottom line is, expect to work more while making less.

    Pros

Global Company with potential to be exposed to many different industries. That is if you're fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time with the right manager.

    Cons

Great if you're in management. If not be prepared to take on jobs that require a resource with no thought given to your job preference or working hours. Management likes to fill jobs with whoever is available at the time. I had 3 managers in 3 years. Only one manager out of the three seemed to care about my career goals.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your direct employees. We make you look good.

    Pros

lots of opportunities for technical growth, nice people to work with, good atmosphere,

    Cons

Work-life balance is not fine-tuned Many people spent long hours in the office and expect the same from others.

I worked at Amdocs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule, many growth opportunities

    Cons

Raises and bonuses are very small if you get them at all, so fight for the highest starting salary possible. High turnover since most can go elsewhere for a higher salary.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep great teams in place pay them what they're worth.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Job stability (see below in cons), no constant travel, it used to have a nice working environment few years ago. It changed in the last 4~5 years, at least the customer I'm working at right now.

    Cons

They will overwork you, regardless which area you work on. About 2 years ago they moved to horizon, which basically killed all promotion options. They call it now "career progression", which means you move horizontally, and in fact, there are talks from HR that your salary may reduce if you go into a position that pays less than your current position. And you will get to know that only AFTER you moved. There is too much pressure with budget, Amdocs has been cutting everywhere they can, every cents counts, sometimes it's unreasonable what we are forced to do.

    Advice to Management

Your main asset is the employees. Yes, finance is very important, but without employees there is no finance to be concerned, nobody will have a job.

    Pros

Waste of time handling things in silo without getting the right industry exposure. There are no movement of people between areas making it hard to bring collaboration and teamwork.

    Cons

Waste of time handling things in silo without getting the right industry exposure

    Advice to Management

Create a respectful work environment not a family based environment. The high caliber people keeping great control of their areas never gets appreciated.

I worked at Amdocs (Less than a year)

    Pros

big company, lot's of opportunity to change work environment from time to time. Benefits are OK. lot's of relocation opportunity world wide.

    Cons

The manager's non manager's ratio is too high. HR sucks. benefits are average nothing out of the ordinary. long hours. employee is evaluated by the number of hours at office and not the quality of work

    Advice to Management

remove half of the managers. the don't do much or care about the product.
look into the HR departments. They do not help the employees at all.
