I have been working at Amdocs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent Pay. Incredibly supportive management team who want you to grow as a team member. No limit to responsibilities. You're left alone to do your job devoid of micromanagement or 'pigeon' managers. Good flexibility in working hours and working from home.

    Cons

Poor redundancy package. Not much else really. The only other downside is having to deal with some difficult customers but that's the nature of the role.

    Advice to Management

Keep on going the way you are.

    Pros

Good colleagues, a lot of traveling

    Cons

Really bad managment, often change of organization, no commitments to employees,

    Advice to Management

Talk to your sales people, some VP's are doing nothing for the company....

I worked at Amdocs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Service Provider focus, good marketing, strong management, broad portfolio.

    Cons

Culture struggles to develop. Silos exist.

    Advice to Management

Stop the jobs for the boys and playground politics. Properly delegate management and senior accounts to the regions. Get rid of career managers.

I have been working at Amdocs as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good stepping ground. Opportunity to consult with other organisations

    Cons

Disorganised, easily ready to chuck out taking responsibility of their employees

    Advice to Management

    You need to improve completely

I have been working at Amdocs (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very good onsite opportunities. Competitive salary. Good work culture. One of the leaders in telecom world.

    Cons

Career growth is not that good. Peanuts in the name of increment. More work and less employee.

    Pros

Not many that I can think of. None at all, in fact. Nope, still none, even after thinking.

    Cons

Extraordinarily rigid grades and hierarchy. Not much opportunity to move between them. All senior roles filled by employees from the country of origin.

    Advice to Management

Create a flatter company structure. Delegate to areas outside of the country of origin more.

I worked at Amdocs (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice to be surrounded by clever people. If you can handle Israeli culture, it is an interesting environment in which to work.

    Cons

Loads of dead wood. Probably a great place to work if you live in Israel, USA or India, but frustrating if you don't

Former Employee - Consulting Manager in London, England (UK)

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Consulting roles were varied and required significant amount of autonomy, giving you flexibility to drive key decision making and be recognised within the business for doing a good job. With a clear vision for where you want to take your career you can drive towards this by selecting the appropriate roles and locations. Also some good thought leaders in the org to learn from.

    Cons

Limited support and direction provided by management can mean you can waste time/effort driving new business which is not in line with a long term strategy. Strategic vision can also be lacking in certain areas.

    Advice to Management

Provide clearer strategic mandate, communicate this clearly throughout the organisation and then stick to it during execution.

    Pros

    They pay you.
    There is some training.

    Cons

They care much more about the bottom line / profit than anything else

    Advice to Management

Talk to your employees. Involve them.
