    Pros

    Absolutely none. This place sucks.

    Cons

This company is a complete joke, especially their office in St. Louis (Ballwin) Missouri. They have Geologist in roles of managers and they are clueless. They have no management experience whatsoever. I had one project manager who was completely dense and had everyone else pull his weight. He barely knew how to navigate in Outlook to check his emails, and even one of the big O&G clients couldn't stand him. How he is still there I have no idea. The site manager in Illinois is a complete drunk and if you do not go out with him, he will kick you off the project and talk about you behind your back. He not only wrecked a company truck with another employee, but he sits in his office with the door shut playing Music Bop on his iPhone, while everyone else works their butts off. Everyone there lies, and they talk about you behind your back. Most of the new hires only last 1-2 years and move on because the place is so miserable. Unless you kiss butt, you will not get anywhere with this group in Ballwin.

    Advice to Management

Dismiss all the managers in the Ballwin Office and hire some who actually have taken business/management classes and not just Geology.

    Pros

Hard to find any - every year they take away more and more.

    Cons

Corporate management has poor vision, panders to the few shareholders and is driving company bankrupt. Oh, and the massive layoffs are a nice confidence builder.

    Advice to Management

Replace CEO and senior magagement and start again

I worked at Amec Foster Wheeler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some nice people that are working in various offices, but fewer and fewer are left.

    Cons

Management has no clue on running a business nor running it effectively. People who have no passion, desire, work ethic or ability are kept around because they have seniority or have been in the business for a long time and somehow have been able to BS long enough to stay around. There is a general attitude of I will only do something if it benefits me, people will rarely if ever do anything for the good of the company or their fellow employees. Has become a numbers/accounting game with no actual long term vision, career development, or passion for the core business (seems like they don't even know what their core is).

    Advice to Management

Start over, entire senior management staff (including Regional Managers are incompetent)

    Pros

Very nice workers in offices. Great coworkers who care. Interesting global projects and type of work. Communication a little lacking with management

    Cons

Management doesn't have a clue. President has personality of a Rock and has no people skills at all. Management only out for themselves . No communication. Never know if you will have a job or not. Don't chance working here it probly won't last long. Lay offs constantly

    Advice to Management

    Need new management.

I worked at Amec Foster Wheeler full-time

    Pros

The 401K and other benefits such as vacation and wellness program.

    Cons

You can never advance anywhere. There is no real training program like they boast about. If you aren't in the right circle, you can forget about advancing. The salary is so far behind the standard industry salaries.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the loyal long-term employees. There is so much turn-over within the company due to salaries, management, false promises for career path, etc. Wasteful money being spent on Why Amec and non-working functions when the money used for those events can be spent increasing salaries to at least come close to the standard industries.

    Cons

    Lack of leadership
No collaboration from top to bottom
Not willing to invest in setting up the right infrastructure for all the support functions
Left hand does not know what right hand is doing
Morale is at all time low

    Advice to Management

To the new CEO-Listen to the employees and not only from the "leaders" of the operating unit or business unit. The company would not be at the state it is now if they know what they are doing.
