    People friendly policies, flexible working, good place to start a career. Good compensation and benefit scheme. Great teams

    Communication is always top down and on a need to know basis. Too much focus is placed on Systems and Processes.

    Advice to Management

    Focus more on your people, develop them and retain talent.

    Some good people. Used to be a great place to work.

    Cons

    Morale has gone down, company culture isn't good anymore, the company doesn't practice what they preach about work-life balance, etc. Many employees are unhappy and quitting.

    Advice to Management

    They need to listen to what staff are telling them regarding why people are leaving.

    Not an equal opportunity employer. During hiring they say about Equal Opportunity Employer but there is discrimination in the organization on the basis of race.

    Pros

    Pay slightly above average. Some fantastic people in the trenches. You are well treated if you put the company above your personal life.

    Cons

    Mining leadership was a joke. Screw up followed by cover up. Potential clients should definitely look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

    Wood Group should replace all the AFW leadership with people with more integrity.

    Great team, strong project management, solid company values, lots attention on safety

    Cons

    Growth in company is slow, decline in mining industry led fewer available projects. In the process of acquisition by Wood Group. Strong control of hours spent.

    Advice to Management

    Get more work from the clients, stop chasing employees for hours. Budget enough hours to projects for the work needed.

    It is a nice place to work. There is a good atmosphere. High qualified professionals and good teams. They know each other well and it is a comfortable.

    Cons

    It takes too long to be promoted. For the last years, given the sector they work at, they are not getting so many new projects and client than before.

    Pros

    The people in my direct group are great, including my boss and team coworkers. All super knowledgeable and easy to work with.

    Cons

    Have to fight tooth and nail to get any kind of promotion or raise. The company is very, very cheap with employees, any spending, etc.

    Don't try to only pay/give employees the bare minimum for the hard work they're doing.
