    Pros

Great hours. No fussing about being with family on holidays. Family oriented. Competitive pay. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Training lacks structure. A lot of driving involved in all types of weather.

    Advice to Management

Training needs more structure. There is a lot to learn. Watching videos is not sufficient training for most employees.

    Pros

I love the leadership I receive from my Vice President of Business Development. Great therapists and high quality of patient care.

    Cons

    Pros

The overwhelming response to employees impacted by the recent flooding in Louisiana shows how important our people are to this executive leadership team.

A clearly communicated strategy that focuses on the right things - clinical distinction, our people, operational efficiency and growth.

Working to become an employer of choice is more than slogan here. Investments are being made in our people and the leadership team has made building a culture of engagement a priority.

    Cons

There has been a lot of change - in the industry and the company - which can be stressful at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on the things that truly matter to our people -- engage them and let them know their voice matters. Your actions speak very highly to your commitment to our patients, employees and communities we serve.

I have been working at Amedisys full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Patient care is priority one. Focusing on that keeps perspective where it needs to be. The last year has brought many changes that we're navigating through pretty successfully.

    Cons

Being good at my job should bring opportunities for growth in career and in salary but that seems to still be "in the works" with no clear path.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people doing the work to help craft policies.
