    Pros

    Good documentation system, care pathways provided to allow you to interactively educate patients to effectively prevent hospitalization.

    Cons

    Visits per day can be unreasonable to properly implement effective care. 7 or 8 per day should be the max.

    Advice to Management

    Be sure all visits are justified. Don't push to continue patients for no skilled services. Trim the case load to allow effective care. 7 or 8 patient should require 6 to 7.5 hours per that clinicians day dependending on drive time maybe longer. I think the patients get better care when the clinician is not pressed for time with a SOC, Eval and 6 regular visits.

    Pros

    The office is in a nice location. Some of the coworkers and patients were friendly. I enjoyed meeting some of the patients.

    Cons

    The office was poorly ran. Management was desperate to get someone in my position and desperate to keep up the census. I was not given the opportunity to develop a team for my role and was told to "work with what I got." Upper management only cared about looking good in front of corporate and had a poor attitude. I was also asked by management to do housekeeping and janitorial work for patients when that wasn't my role in order to keep the patient from going to another hospice company and the census up. The management also offered no help when the patient load was too heavy for the nurses. There seemed to be a disconnect between the office staff and the field staff.

    Advice to Management

    Better communication and organization.

    Cannot recall any pros, unfortunately.

    Cons

    Bully atmosphere, public reprimands commonplace, suspicious management. 3 new hires left before finishing orientation because the atmosphere was so bad. I think other offices may be better, but this one was unfortunate

    listen to your employees and respond to complaints against management

    Pros

    Wonderful patients, caring compassionate nurses, LNAs and support staff.

    Cons

    Terrible management
    No work/life balance
    horrible non -existent HR (Can't even get help over the phone)
    Grossly Understaffed
    High turnover
    Poor pay
    The stress was through the roof for the nurses...i left fulltime and went per diem which was still stressful with 12 hour days and work brought home.
    In my time there I saw one social worker and volunteer coordinator leave as well as 7 nurses. The only remaining nurses I started work with are also per diem. This company tortures their nurses and then pays them a horrible salary. Don't work here!

    Advice to Management

    Hire enough nurses to care for the patients.
    Stop constantly looking at the bottom line and ignoring employee satisfaction.
    Train employees adequately
    Compensate your nurses better including on call.
    Stop trying to cheat employees out of their mileage reimbursement.

    SADLY NONE!
    There used to be pros when Bill Borne was at the top! Now, senior leadership is so top heavy adding layers of management that don't know anything. They micromanage you and have no clue about the Core Beliefs... They need to read them as it is all about the numbers and money now! They care only about Wall Street and their Investors! PATHETIC!

    THEY DON'T CARE!!!!
    SOUL SUCKING!

    Advice to Management

    Practice what you preach!
    You are all Hypocrites and don't even value or appreciate the hard work we all do! remember, one day someone will be caring for you or your loved one and by God you better hope that the care givers that come are not from a company like this that the Focus is on money and not the patient and the care! SHAME ON YOU!
    Go sell used cars as that is what you would be better at! NO HEART!
    Start caring for your staff and patients the way they deserve to be treated!
