    I worked at Amedisys full-time

    Pros

I can't really think of anything good about this company. At the corporate office depending on what team you were on you got some pretty good lunches.

    Cons

His company is very very very unorganized. I've been in my field for about 9 years when I resigned. People who are less qualified than me we're getting promotions based on the fact that they would go drinking and play golf with our supervisor.

    Advice to Management

I would advise management to implement a standard hiring and promotion practice to ensure that qualified professionals are being hired

    Honestly can't think of any.

I worked at Amedisys full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you know the right people you will go far. Just be a friend of relative of upper management and you are gold!!

    Cons

They love to work you beyond hard and tell you how lucky you are.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites. Bill Borne did not start the Amedisys company with his hard work; dedication, sweat and tears for the company to be run like this.

I have been working at Amedisys full-time

    Pros

My in the field co-workers and most of the in-house staff are great.

    Cons

I have been with Amedisys 9 years. In 9 years I have only received 2 raises. We used no earn bonuses which is no longer the case. I bet that this is not true in the area of upper mngt. We were told that there was absolutely no pto during the computer systems changes for any reason. We were also told that if we did miss any training we would NO LONGER have a job. Obvious intimidation tactic there. Upper management appears to me not to care about it's employees in the office or in the field. This is how unions start and I'm not in favor of unions. Seriously 2 raises in 9 years? Can the CEO say the same thing. Amedisys has not changed for the better and I know since I have been here for 9 yrs. I have seen the changes.

    Advice to Management

I work to live not live to work. Try to keep that in mind when you don't give your employees any raises and you are always putting them under your thumb. This was a great place to work when I started it's now anything but a great place to work and if it weren't for my direct coworkers I can't honestly think of anything that would keep me here at this point. It's obvious to me that Amedisys does not value length of tenure for any reason which to me is a commitment which is not being reciprocated. You have spent Millions on software that you no longer use in favor of going to a third-party service to provide your software for you and your it help and you are now going to change the logo and color schemes of the company and apparently you are going to start some sort of TV and radio ads one or the other or both. All of this is costing Millions while yet you put no stock in to the people actually going out and doing the work. And while some people may say you should just be happy to have a job and I am why should I settle for just having a job? I am more than just a job.

    Pros

Flexibility, autonomy. Great benefits package. ASM will allow you to do your job unless you request or need assistance. Great support staff

    Cons

Long hours. A lot of driving which can be dangerous. LOT of accounts to cover in one area. Not a lot of cons, fortunately

    Advice to Management

    None
