I worked at Amedisys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have great office staff you work with. The nurses, CNA's and therapists work their butts off. As the marketer, I got to know them well because that was who I was selling to the doctors and nurses in the facilities, not the company. I learned a lot met some fabulous people.

    Cons

The company is all about making the numbers. If you didn't get your calls in for the day or your referrals and admits in for the day, it could get bad. The constant text messages from my boss throughout the day about getting those numbers or the text messages from other marketers on the team got to be too much. My phone was constantly going off. You can't get your work done because you stay on your phone answer text messages that are not about patient's or patient care.

    Advice to Management

I understand you need to make money to stay open, but this business doesn't have to be so cut throat. It is supposed to be about taking care of the patients, making sure they have best care from the best staff.

I have been working at Amedisys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lot's of flexibility and I trust the management team has good intentions.

    Cons

With revenue tied directly to medicare reimbursement, growth and ability to meet sales quota remains challenging and there does not appear to be other avenues for revenue growth other than acquiring other companies doing the same thing with the same revenue growth challenges.

    Advice to Management

Figure out other ways to grow revenue versus trying to squeeze more blood from the same turnip.

    Pros

Work from home, company sends all supplies to home, family oriented

    Cons

Unable to be a part of office celebrations of excellent work, patient care, achievements, etc. It would be nice if they included home employees like sending cards, candy, gift cards, etc.

    Pros

I can't think of any except HCHB. This site wants 20 words here. I cannot honestly come up with anything else good about this company

    Cons

Micromanaging worse than any company I have ever worked for. Salary below average. Very dishonest management up to the AVP level. I left a great job based on lies. I will never grace the doors of Amedisys again. Their loss!

    Advice to Management

    Stop lying !
