    Pros

The industry as a whole is filled with great people where you can see the passion that engulfs many. Employee benefits relatively nice in comparison to many. Growth is strong and the company seems to be heading in the right direction.

    Cons

Many changes occurring internally to further develop, without clear leadership or direction. Internal communication and moral seems to be decreasing with a lackluster care for employee growth. Also, departmental cliques seem to exist.

    Advice to Management

Need for stronger leadership and better interdepartmental communication. Initiate a fostering HR and employee development/career track. Loss of moral seems to apparent, and care for employees at all stages seems to be slipping.

    Pros

Great portfolio of brands, great culture, great people, and solid benefits

    Pros

Great benefits and people are great to work with.

    Cons

European based company and many decision makers are not well versed in the US market place. Systems are horrible and finding any relevant sales data is a federal case and not easy. No training provided for job and you have to learn everything on your own.

I have been working at Amer Sports full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best part of this company is the employees. Being an outdoor sporting goods company, the passion for the products runs high. I enjoy working for this company.

    Cons

We are a part of a larger matrix organization. Sometimes reporting lines are difficult to understand as well as who reports to who and who is accountable for who.

    Advice to Management

Employees are our greatest asset, remember to treat them as such.

I worked at Amer Sports full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pros were to work for a larger company. that had stable funds. flexible work environment. strong parent company morals and values which didn't necessarily translate to the brands that operated separately.

    Cons

Downsides were that the leadership totally lacked and support from the board to the upper management as well as performance at retailers were not positive. Classic example of a huge corporate parent company trying to centralize control and create dependency rather than enabling brand strength without providing any tools to succeed.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more and support your employees and your sales and marketing employees with tools. If you hire someone let them make a positive impact to the brand. Listen to them and your bottom line will improve. Don't act like a robot, you need to listen to make changes for the positive to turn around a business. Let brands run as their own brands rather than dictating employee responsibilities without being able to give them support, which essentially makes them less accountable for their responsibilities since there is zero support and less passionate within a very passionate industry.

I worked at Amer Sports full-time

    Pros

Brands are awesome and AS has a huge portfolio of some of the most powerful brands in the outdoor industry - for now.

    Cons

Overly aggressive parent company. Classic example of a parent company trying to centralize control and create dependency rather than enabling brand strength.

    Advice to Management

Let brands run as their own brands rather than synergizing employee responsibilities which essentially makes them less accountable for their responsibilities and less passionate within a very passionate industry.
