    Pros

Decent work life balance. Ability to help shape the bank as it redevelops. Decent salary (although changes are coming)

    Cons

The HR department staff are generally rude and condescending towards employees. Its truly amazing how they can get away with speaking to staff in such a way. The health plans are the most horrible plans i've ever seen in my career. The plans cover very little and every year get worse. Prescriptions get removed from the plan year after year. Heres an idea, have more plan options that cover more. It isn't always about being the cheapest plan, how about a plan that actually provides a benefit? Many staff would gladly pay more if the plan covered more. But what do they do? Come out with an even cheaper plan? You produce an employee survey but don't share the results with the staff? There have been huge layoffs, you go into work scared every day. The senior executive never are seen. How about a management team that interacts with the staff? I've never seen the CEO walk the halls and engage with the staff. Or any of the executive staff.

    Pros

Pay was great. Benefits were great. Tons of opportunities if you put forth the effort. Work/Life balance was top of the line.

    Cons

Horrible online banking that shuts off at 12 AM to allow their systems to cut over to the next day, which doesn’t allow clients to access online banking over night. Real client concerns were never addressed, instead the company allocated money towards making products “look nice”, not WORK PROPERLY. This place will ruin your reputation as a banker. No formal training program when you start. They just sit you at a desk and throw you in the mix. Too many politics. Illegal and unethical business practices. Systems never worked properly; something was always breaking. Difficult to communicate with other departments in Florida. Language barriers.

    Pros

Overall the bank has dedicated and caring employees that care about the work they do. Overall decent work/life balance, competitive salary and centrally located. Long tenured staff that retain a significant amount of business knowledge.

    Cons

Highly dysfunctional organizational structure that lacks strong leadership. There isn’t a very clear mission at this bank and not a strong culture that is looking to advance the brand. The organizational structure funnels all departments and units mainly into 4 silos and teamwork and collaboration don’t cross between these silos making meaningful change hard to accomplish. There is an overall lack of recognition and reward program here. Managers and others rarely recognize others for contributions. Innovation is clearly behind peers and innovation is hindered by an overly aggressive compliance program. Management attends semi annual meetings but the message is rarely communicated down to non-officers. The bank has tried to rebrand multiple times in the past couple years but never really achieved transformational change. With the spin off from the parent company this will be either a sink or swim time for the bank. Technology specific in core programs is decades behind industry and needs serious investment.
