I worked at AmeriFleet (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent Company to work for, they offer great benefits and appropriate pay for duties performed. Interested to see how they progress during the merger.

    Cons

Communication, as with most organizations, is lacking from Management down. Training, growing and enhancing staff knowledge/expectations could also use some improvement.

    Advice to Management

    Complete process improvements.

I worked at AmeriFleet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This used to be a great place to work.

    Cons

Morale was terrible under the old CEO, owners came back and restored the company to almost its former glory. Then they sell it off and it's again a shell of what it was.

    Advice to Management

    Have at least some transparency.

I have been working at AmeriFleet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Get paid immediately... for the most part.

    Cons

Poorly run, little to no communication amongst the people who are helping you complete the job. I came into this company with neutral expectations and it somehow got worse and worse as time went on. Pay got worse and somehow you are expected to pay for hotels and rentals in order to complete your jobs. They implemented an app that is broken and makes completing your job much more difficult than need be. Very poorly paid employees certainly show as well, I believe it has truly gotten to the point where they are literally hiring anyone with no people skills whatsoever. Amerifleet's true slogan should be "Do a lot for a little." This company will leave you stranded as well, feel like this needs to be mentioned. Because they will no longer cover rental or hotel stays, you could end up somewhere stuck for multiple days in a row with no work and covering hotels and rentals are not cheap. There is no respect for what the drivers do and I am exposing Amerifleet for what it really is.

    Advice to Management

Maybe if you treated your drivers a little bit better you could somehow salvage an obviously tanking company. I am jumping ship the first opportunity I get...

I worked at AmeriFleet (More than a year)

    Pros

This company used to pay for all travel between runs including rental cars. This company set-up flights, and paid for motels up to $60/night. They pay more for hotels if the area has higher loading fees. They also assisted in finding me lodging when they sent me up to Minot, North Dakota.

    Cons

This company changed to a subcontractor type of business requiring individuals to pay for their own rental cars and transportation between runs. They require drivers to use their own credit cards, now.

    Advice to Management

Helping drivers to move between runs helps not only the driver but, also ensures excellent customer service. Also, it would be nice if the company gave former employees that quit a second chance to work for the company.

I worked at AmeriFleet (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to see a large portion of the country, and to work with very little supervision. Flexible work schedule from week to week.

    Cons

The pay is low, the hours can be long, you are sometimes away from home for a full week or more.

    Advice to Management

    Increase the pay rate.

    Pros

Great people to work with. There is always something to do. Possible to speak one on one with everyone from the drivers to the owners. True open door policy.

    Cons

No standardized training process or reference materials for administrative positions. Smaller company, hard to move up unless someone leaves or there is company growth.

I have been working at AmeriFleet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

AmeriFleet is a great company to work for and is once again positioned to revolutionize the fleet industry, it's a great time in the company's history to be a part of the organization. The culture that's been created fosters an environment of camaraderie and the entire team is comprised of great people that are a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

The industry AmeriFleet serves is constantly changing, from enhanced technology to procurement practices, adaptability is a daily necessity and keeping up with internal communication can present a challenge at times, the good news is that management is aware and are making every effort to increase the flow of information to employees.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing the things that have made AmeriFleet a great place to work and continue listening to your customers and employees.
