    Pros

    Supportive environment and leadership team for the most part.
    Provides emergency support for customers when local offices are not available - only propane provider with 24/7 service options at this time.

    Cons

    Very busy seasonal period in the winter months, especially after local office hours.
    Cannot assist customers with past-due balances, or who are in areas with poor weather conditions; can be emotionally draining due to this.

    Pros

    Small offices, great co-workers, relaxed atmosphere.

    Cons

    Low pay, no room for advancement. Drivers are paid a much higher amount than CRR. Prices are crazy high and when complaints come in, let you lower to keep customer.

    Advice to Management

    Pay office people a higher pay considering all they do and are the forefront of the company.

    Pros

    Great place if you like extra hours in the winter, get to leave early in summer. Some management are friendly and personable.

    Cons

    Mandatory overtime, Low pay, little room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

    Give better raises to employees who over perform.

    I worked at AmeriGas (More than a year)

    Pros

    There is growth within the company. Incentives usually pay very well, however you must when for your payout. Large network of coworkers and the company always strives for improvement in the industry. Great company to work for, I never had benefits but the company does cater to benefit eligible employees very well.

    Cons

    Too many conflicts of interest or absolute abuse of company's code of ethics by management. There is an integrity line, however effective results are null to none. In most cases the complainers/whistle blowers are usually the first on the chopping block. Depending on who you work for, your growth can definitely be stifled. Favoritism is a big issue in most offices, which in turn can affect your yearly review.. not to mention the raises or appraisals leave much to be desired. Some employees don't understand that they are in customer service which can be troubling for you because of upset patrons. Which honestly is part of the reason so many customers switch providers or complain.

    Advice to Management

    Put your employees first, after customers of course. Be fair to everyone no matter what. Follow the code of ethics ALWAYS not just when it benefits you or is detrimental to someone else. Offer up to date training to ensure effective and productive performance from your employees. Reward employees that are dedicated to growing and flourishing your districts/area with opportunities to have more of a positive impact on your company. Finally, please do not turn a blind eye to issues in your office. There are people doing the best they can and being picked on by people who are taking advantage of their power. Offering similar benefits to permanent part time or Flex employees for major life events such as maternity or paternity leave would make taking time for family more enjoyable.

    Leader in the Propane Business. Driving to be a best in class service. Amazing Tools at your disposal

    Pros

    I worked for about 18 months and had an overall positive experience.My supervisor and peers were friendly. Working hours were fairly stable.

    Cons

    It was a relatively small Information Technology organization. Hence work environment was less structured and there were fewer senior people to learn from.

    Advice to Management

    I would request the management to consider increasing vacation time off and better healthcare benefits and support for higher studies

    No room for growth. Turnover rate was high. No paid technical training to empower employees.
