Aug 16, 2016 - Benefits ConsultantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You get to work your own hours at your own home. You decide what marketing strategies are best for you and how to execute them. You also have someone helping you the entire way.
Cons
You do have to pay to play. You get a legitimate product (benefits) and your monthly fee covers these benefits and the maintenance of your website.

I have been paid more than I expected.
Jan 21, 2015 - Senior Regional Sales Director in Bradenton, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great product~Strong benefit plans provide families and small business owners an affordable alternative to traditional, expensive insurance. Great training~I plugged into the system and duplicated what was successful, so I, in turn, was successful. Great team~lots of support, when you need it. As an independent representative, all the help you need is available to you, if you are proactive to work with your enroller or team. Great comp plan~there are multiple ways to earn money. Company offers generous, attainable bonuses throughout the year. In bonuses alone, I have earned $10.500 in two years. That is over above our daily pay and monthly residual.
Cons
That I only see everyone on our team once a year at Convention in July. We have a wonderful team, but we are nationwide. Some areas have regional events, however, Texas in July is where it's at!

You are your own Boss, Do you want to work for someone else?
Feb 21, 2017 - Benefit ConsultantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
For a stay at home business the cost is minimal; why? Because the cost is known up front and doesn't change..they don't try to continuously ask you for more and more money. They want you to succeed! There is training systems and training calls that give you plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. Honestly, this is the BEST paid hard work or if you want the lowest paid easy work you will ever find. In the end my advice is; if you are looking for the best opportunity in a home based [own your own life] business, THIS IS IT!
Cons
People think it is ACA or other insurance; which is totally incorrect. This company gives you the savings power of group buying and gives you advocates that negotiate any medical bill you receive over $2,500.00 even if you got it BEFORE joining... All in all that is my only Con in being an Affiliate or IBO [Independent Business Owner]

Shady MLM. Join at your own risk.
Sep 25, 2015 - Recruiter/TrainerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you want to get really good at doing something that doesn't work, please sign up as an IBO for this company. If you're friends with someone who is a top earner, they can probably do the work for you so you can pull an easy paycheck. If you want to drink the company Koolaid, pull up a chair! You will fit right in.
Cons
Everything about this company is a con. AmeriPlan is a dog (ask anyone who has experience in the network marketing field) and I'm genuinely surprised they are still in business. They prey on people who are looking for a real opportunity to work from home - please don't be fooled. This is an MLM through and through. You have to pay to play, you will spend all your time in training, and they bank on the fact that you will probably work the business for a year and then quit. It's a very dishonest company with unethical behavior happening behind the scenes.

I am pleased to be part of such a tight-knit group of professionals.
Apr 22, 2017 - Benefit ConsultantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I love the team dynamics within AmeriPlan, from the company owners all the way down to the newest Benefit Consultant. Although we're dispersed nationwide, there are always teambuilding/learning opportunities such as video teleconferences, recorded training calls, in-person conferences held in various cities around the country, etc.
Cons
My only complaint so far was the lack of mentorship and genuinity from my sponsor. She sent the obligatory emails and called me once, but it was all scripted. She was even in a rush to get off the phone after SHE called ME. I believe, however, it was because she is a National Vice President and just simply doesn't have time to deal with new recruits.
