I have been working at America First Credit Union (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Clearly defined career path. I've always been allowed to be flexible with my schedule. Leadership is very supportive and service-driven.

    Cons

There really isn't much that I don't like about working at AFCU. Management does a really great job. I look forward to working here for at least awhile longer!

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at America First Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love working here! The people are great and fun to work with! Don't worry about not knowing all the information, they have the best training programs! They really do care about their employees, and their members.

    Cons

Honestly the only downside is the start out pay is a little low. But if you work hard enough and show them that you care you can move up in the company as fast as you want to.

I have been working at America First Credit Union full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Treat their employees well and good opportunity for growth! Provide fantastic trainings to make sure you know your job! Because there are branches everywhere there's always a chance you won't have to travel far!

    Cons

Pay could be higher for such high expectation and monthly goals! You don't get much spiffs for meeting your goals or cross sells! Mortgage officers are getting paid way less then what others at mortgage companies are getting paid and don't get credit for the mortgages for their monthly goals

    Advice to Management

    Make pay more competitive

    Cons

Impossible to get a raise, changing schedule, management doesn't have your back, some late hours.

I worked at America First Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

AFCU is an awesome place to work out, especially for college students! My manager was always supportive of the days I needed off for class and worked around my schedule to make sure I was getting my hours in. Upper management is very involved and the Vice President of my region knew me by name. Out of all the financial institutions I've worked for, this was by far the best!

    Cons

You don't get paid as much as in other banks but, you work in a less stressful more helpful environment.

I worked at America First Credit Union part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You work with incredible people in a relaxed environment. The members are friendly as always, and you have paid vacation, sick leave, and other benefits.

    Cons

Upward mobility is decent, but the pay doesn't move up very wel. An asssitant manager barely breaks above the poverty limit. Sales pressure.

    Advice to Management

If management wants to push sales, please provide a monetary incentive program for employees. The upward mobility is stagnant with the current program.
