I worked at America's Job Exchange full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When AJE started, it was a promising organization with highly motivated and energetic people. Today, it is a very different story. I cannot think of any pros for working here other than the fact that it is owned by Time Warner Cable.

    Cons

A very negative, awkward and uncomfortable work environment.
People not treated with respect. No room for innovation or ideas.
AJE is not invested in its people. There is no employee engagement, people come to work, do their job and leave - and this is every day .
Sales people, especially, are expected to sell from day one, given unrealistic targets and no training or support.
No communication within the team (of about 12 people). Most things come as a surprise.

    Advice to Management

    Treat people with respect.
Create a mission statement, a vision and a roadmap and follow them.
Communicate with your team. Motivate them, show them that they are valued.
Give people credit where it is due.

I worked at America's Job Exchange full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great bandwidth
Has the right advantage in the market
Being part of a large group, has great benefits
    Treats its people well
    Mostly cohesive
In spite of difference of opinion, people still get along fabulously well
    Young and energetic team

    Cons

Lack of thought leadership. Put that in place and you have a brilliant proposition in the market
Growth path is limited after a certain level
Not very encouraging on exploiting bandwidth of the employee

    Advice to Management

You have a great legacy and with the opportunity, you can make most of it. Do harness the potential of your star performers and give them the opportunity to excel and fail if necessary. Learn to take risks with your product and team capabilities both.
You have a great support structure, leverage it
