I worked at American Access Casualty Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers are friendly, Free Breakfast every Friday and a monthly company luncheon, and great starting pay and benefits, free gym membership.

    Cons

They conduct poor inadequate training and just throw you on the work floor and expect for you to know what to do in as little as 5 days. Upper management expects for you to pick up on their slack. There's very heavy micro-management which makes if hard for you to focus on your own work without someone breathing down your neck. Everytime you ask for help, management including some team leads will give you a reaction as if you should already know what to do and to not ask them for any help. This makes it seems as if they're required to help only because it's their job to and they get paid to do it. With that being said, unless you enjoy working in a highly challenging and stressful sweatshop environment.......this job is not for you.

    Advice to Management

Please visit or research other call centers on how they precede with training protocol and policy and revise your training methods. American Access has one of the worst training and I'm suprised a few agents manage to catch on to the way they work. Also some of you supervisors and team leads need to get fired. Upper management is very sloppy and is quick to call out on an employees "lack of work" when most of them are lacking themselves.

    Pros

Free coffee, bagels on Fridays if you start at 8am.

    Cons

Management, supervisors, n most important training!

    Advice to Management

I don't knw how long you will be in business because I've seen companies like this come and fold within time. That's why State Farm, Allstate, etc have been in business so long. They know how to train and treat their employees.

I worked at American Access Casualty Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, One day a week working from home, during the summer there is an option of flextime, Very laid back environment, competitive salary.

    Cons

Some managers are taking ideas from employees, and presenting them as theirs own without any shame. Lack of desire to improve. Decadent or absent planning and design. Project manager has no idea what is going on or how to manage the projects. Upper managers MIA for WEEKS. All the good ideas or initiatives are discarded if they are not "EASY" . Quantity over quality mentality. Unrealistic expectations when the scope of the project is evidently too big. the WORST database that I have ever seen, it is almost impossible to work with it. Using a programming language that is almost death.

    Advice to Management

Application development department is in a big trouble. This company needs a REAL project manager.

I worked at American Access Casualty Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co workers n only 2,upper managers

    Cons

Preference due to people are related, atmosphere like sweat shop, CEO nonexistent ( even you seem him everyday and barely get a hello if you are fortunate. Supervisors are so completely incapable of emotions. Especially kindness and understanding. Too bad because these companies are a dime a dozen. They don't care about their employees, only when they need to be reprimanded. Treated like a child and not an adult. Try to make it look like a beautiful cake but taste like rotten cheese. Do yourself a favor and RUN AWAY! Btw their training program is a joke!

    Advice to Management

Take classes in REAL customer service and employee treatment if you don't want to end up like the other car insurance companies. Good luck if you make it.

    Pros

Ability to work from home for some. some good people, ease of using the technology available although outdated, flex program

    Cons

Overall lack of respect for people, treat you like a child, poor management, poor procedures/ polices, unrealistic demands/timelines, out dated thinking, never complementing you for anything, always focusing on the negative, acd phone line, poor communication, poor pay, lack of experienced staff, lack of designated units ie, collision/pd, total loss, subrogation in and bi/um, favoritism which is disgusting and obvious. expect overtime with no pay or compensation in any form, non-existent teamwork

    Advice to Management

employee moral has hit rock bottom. a lot of workers are fed-up and dont care anymore. They are just doing what they can. no one does anything about it and never will.
