I have been working at American Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company, lots of great people to work with, travel benefits.

    Cons

Employees not rewarded or paid according to performance. Discrimination based on what school your degree was obtained from.

    Advice to Management

Throw the "Leadership" program out the window and reward the employees that are having to hold their hand and lead them.

I worked at American Airlines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a work from home position that's great if you have kids or fresh out of college where you are able to be in one place and earn money without spending much because you're at home, so it's a good job to save some money

    Cons

Con is even though you can save some money the pay is not great at all and after taxes and all the other nonsense they pull out of your check you'll be begging for overtime only to see that the extra 10-15 hrs you picked up only adds an additional 50$ to your check

    Advice to Management

Increase the pay it's a billion dollar company, you could do it

I worked at American Airlines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people to work with, you do get to go see some amazing places if you're lucky enough to get called for those trips. Compared to other airlines American is great to their new employees.

    Cons

Money. You do not make very much at all, it is extremely hard to live off of. The job is not exactly as it seems to be, the perks are not as great as you would think. The free flights are OFTEN overbooked so you cant travel to many of the places you would like to; you always have to fly standby.

    Advice to Management

Pay and appreciate your employees more. They are the front lines of your company and make the lasting impact with your customers, they are the ones that make your money.
