I worked at American Airlines full-time

    Pros

Loved working at AA - the people who worked there for many years and love the airline. Even those who have left still love AA. The family atmosphere is great.

    Cons

No real cons, except that wish I was still there!

I have been working at American Airlines full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Travel privileges are definitely one of the biggest perks this company has, and it's hard to not take advantage of them. There are some amazing people to work with at this company, and that makes all the difference in the world of making me want to come to work every day. Great work/life balance available in my area.

    Cons

Union groups seem to be getting big pay raises while management gets left out of those, so I don't base my job satisfaction solely on pay.

I have been working at American Airlines full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They are hiring pilots and will continue to need pilots since the retirement rate is going to continue to increase. This increases the potential for career advancement.

    Cons

It is a very large company With contentious employee groups and an adversarial relationship with management at times. Don't look or expect warm fuzzies from some of your fellow employees or management.

I worked at American Airlines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a work from home position that's great if you have kids or fresh out of college where you are able to be in one place and earn money without spending much because you're at home, so it's a good job to save some money

    Cons

Con is even though you can save some money the pay is not great at all and after taxes and all the other nonsense they pull out of your check you'll be begging for overtime only to see that the extra 10-15 hrs you picked up only adds an additional 50$ to your check

    Advice to Management

Increase the pay it's a billion dollar company, you could do it
