    Pros

Good pay, corporate office is helpful .

    Cons

The mentality of plant management is to find something to belittle supervisors for. End of shift meeting is nothing more than a chance for management to yell. They won't allow downtime for machine maintenance, but yell at supervisors when equipment finally fails and production goes down. Minimal support from management.

    Advice to Management

Try to appreciate your supervisors and support teams. Maybe turnover wouldn't be so high

    Pros

Good pay. Good people to work with.

    Cons

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. You come out of there black. You cough up black stuff. You blow black stuff out of your nose.

    Advice to Management

Get air purification filters. That way the employees dont get black lung at an early age.

I have been working at American Axle & Manufacturing full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

UAW pay and benefits for all non-management employees. This mean good pay and a generous benefits. The majority of the teams working there are well rounded and productive.

    Cons

The biggest con is the "us verses them mentality" that exists between the employees and management. Most of the managers can rise above this mentality but those that can't will make your life miserable and in some cases put you in harms way.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone with respect and dignity. An remember to keep your employees safe and healthy.

    Cons

If you work at the Ridgway, PA plant, you will have NO life at all!!! The overtime dumped on all employees is totally unreal!!! The plant runs 6-7 days a week, and will even mandate a 12 hour shift on the weekend, not to mention weekday!!!

    Advice to Management

Restructuring needs to be done ASAP.
