I have been working at American Casino & Entertainment Properties part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free Lunch and Flexible Schedules

    Cons

Not enough hours, they keep it understaffed at times.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be for upper management to give supervisors more authority to better assist there employees better when they have issues instead of saying we cant do anything about it you need to go to Hr.

    Pros

Good benefits, friendly employees. Great way to gain cocktailing experience.

    Cons

In a very bad area of Vegas, Slow.

    Advice to Management

Management tries their best, try to follow unions rules without manipulating and someone has to do something about security and keeping the vagrants out.

    Pros

    Some nice external co-workers

    Cons

Do not work in IT! Their inexperienced at best and to many managers, if you like being written up all the time this is your place. No team work just a lot of yelling.

    Advice to Management

    Give a crap.

I worked at American Casino & Entertainment Properties full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a job with ok pay. One of the better casinos to work for in the area. They do alot of community work which is really nice. The benefits medical, dental and vison are ok.

    Cons

The management is stuck in a very old model. Mostly a reactive outlook on things. The company though they will say different is not progressive and very happy with the low bar they have set for themselves. Seldomly given the adequate tools to the jobs they want done the way they want them. The employee dinning room is ussually filthy and the food very lack luster and tastless. Food is the same 7 day menu over and over again.

    Advice to Management

Value and invest in your team members. If you spent the time to develope your people and not treat them like cogs you will see more positive results.

I worked at American Casino & Entertainment Properties (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy job, fair compensation, free lunch at employee dining room with decent benefits. If you want a job where you can float for years come here!

    Cons

If you have any creativity, are ambitious, and want to advance your career don't come here. Many people have been here 5 plus years and have never gotten a raise or promotion.

    Advice to Management

Utter complete waste. They are completely clueless how to manage and are unaware of the realities/. If you're looking for "a job" and nothing else come here.

I worked at American Casino & Entertainment Properties full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

EDR is half decent, majority of Post are moving around so time goes by quick, Uniforms Control cleans your uniforms

    Cons

Security Dept is Unprofessional from the top down and in all aspects from the way Medicals Calls are handled to the way undesirables are dealt with. The Casino is located right next to one of the biggest slums in Las Vegas and is over run with vagrants and undesirables, Coworkers are people who could not be hired anywhere else and are bottom of the barrel types. I wouldnt recommend working here even as a starter job as many bad habits would be learned and its just to be avoided at all cost.

    Advice to Management

Maybe start taking an aggressive approach to dealing with the undesirables for the benefit of your guest (Ya Think??), Maybe stop hiring scumbags and low lifes and install a Training Program that involves a little more than walking around with aperson who isnt qualified to be a Security Officer much less "Train".

    Pros

a hotel and casino located in Laughlin, Nevada. It is owned and operated by American Casino & Entertainment Properties and is the largest hotel in Laughlin.

    Cons

their employees haven't care for the rooms some employees did not do their job very well, they are faster to make a room but still not a tidy and clean. we need to supervise well all the room to decrease guest complaint.

    Advice to Management

they need to improve their managerial services. they need to put or creat at training and seminars to their employees.
