I have been working at American Cybersystems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can easily make a killing in recruiting or sales. New hires in sales and recruiting are literally handed golden opportunities to make money. I did, I am not any better than anyone else, and I was doubling my salary in commissions within the first two years. The long term employees are making money and getting promotions. Management does not put up with BS or BS excuses and is results oriented. If you're producing, you can pretty much do what you want. If you're not, those excuses aren't going to fly very far for very long, which I appreciated.

My advice to new hires, put your game face on and come ready to pull your weight. Fantastic place to advance your career if you're a serious contributor.

    Cons

Don't expect any hand holding. The expectation is that you're getting hired because your hiring manager expects you to know how to do the job you're being hired for. The benefits plans are expensive for what you get. No 401k matching.

    Advice to Management

Culture is something you build one step at a time, one employee at a time. We can get on calls, we can sing and dance, we can drive this company anywhere we want it to go, but we've got to know where we're going.

What is the vision, how do my phone calls result in us getting to that better state?

People will work for their commission checks up to the point of their own personal motivation. They will work harder if they have something to believe in and have something to strive for.

    Pros

    Cannot think of any

    Cons

Recruiting team is led by a no-nothing, ineffective "friend" of the owner, who has never recruited, never had any sales or business successes to speak of. Public humiliations and berating are commonplace. Leadership has no strategic focus.

    Pros

First paycheck is given right away

    Cons

"Leadership team" is absurd. Clueless greedy people who don't care what is legal or morally right are in charge. Sell the company to a competitor and get out of the business. Try to actually be considerate of your workers instead of treating people like they are disposable. It's rotten to not pay market rate wages for your internal employees, tell everyone that the company isn't doing well and then use corporate coffers as your personal piggy bank.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company ASAP, get new jobs, you're not cut out for running any company. Period.

I worked at American Cybersystems full-time

    Pros

    nothing pro about this company

    Cons

was lied about the position that was offered to me. Did not receive my check. HR said it was mailed but I chose direct deposit. I did not receive any notification that my check was being mailed until I asked. This is the worse company I ever work for.

    Advice to Management

Just sell the company. You guys clearly don't know how to operate a business.

Very nice work environment, very nice people

    Cons

They are very cheap, they do not pay very well at all.

    Advice to Management

Anyone with over 15 years of experience should be making more than 50k a year.

    Pros

Company has multiple silos to help generate business opportunities

    Cons

Management doesn't give a proper ramp-up time (4 to 6 months) and expects you to have deals in place immediately. No transparency towards goals.

My MD at the time had grand ideas but no proper plan of execution. He would hardly go on sales calls with us and definitely had his favorites in the office. Talked a big sales game, but when he was asked to switch roles and carry a bag, he quit within 3 weeks and abruptly left without explanation.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers who are willing to put "skin in the game" and do whatever it takes to help your team win.

I worked at American Cybersystems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bought good companies with good clients and run them as independent BUs.

    Cons

Executive team has no time/interest to check on leadership team.
Leadership has no trust on employees and employees are treated as just commodities/resources.
HR has no voice and no time to take care of employees and their performance reviews.

    Advice to Management

Empower the team and be fair to them.
Give autonomous power to HR and let them take care of employees.
Growth does not need to be by acquisition only - it can also be organic.

    Pros

There are good people who work there. You just have to find them.

    Cons

Little room for growth, company doesn't value the work employees do, constant threat of being fired, high turnover rate leads to fractured knowledge base

    Advice to Management

The only constant is you. Take a look in the mirror before placing blame on others. Actually believe in your employees, don't just give lip service

I have been working at American Cybersystems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I love working for this company. My VP is fair and responsive. Raj is a very generous man and he makes me feel appreciated and valued. I work hard and am rewarded for my efforts. I feel very blessed to be part of the Syracuse office who is supported by top performers.

    Cons

I would ask management for greater social media presence.
