    Advice to Management

    I loved my management staff

I worked at American Eagle Outfitters part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros. There's nothing good about this company. When I worked there it was just me in the stock room.

    Cons

Everything, they had me doing jobs outside of my description, if you hired me to do stock why am I on floor? Only to turn around and complain that the stock isn't done.

I worked at American Eagle Outfitters full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Discount: 40% full price and price pointed sale, 25% clearance or BOGO deals. You receive 12 items per month at 60% off (Max $59.95 ticket) and "experts" receive 3 items per month at 80% off (Max $49.95 ticket)

    Benefits

    Cons

Coworkers, this was my 4th location and management in 2/4 stores were awful. There was no sense of "team" and was very frustrating. The company also doesn't pay well, especially to those who have been loyal to the company. This goes for associates and managers alike. A new hire gets paid more than one that's been there for years 9/10 times.

    Advice to Management

Loyalty doesn't pay. The company should be determined to maintain their top talent already in the company instead of constantly trying to recruit.

My boss was great and we never had to work on days we asked off in advance. He always kept a full staff.

    Cons

I wanted to stay with the company and move up but I wasn't able to. I had to start looking for a job elsewhere post college.
