I worked at American Funds full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Easy work if you have excellent reading comprehension and good work ethic.

    Cons

Repetitive mind numbing duties. Same thing day in and day out. Do not look to find fulfillment here. Its a paycheck and benefits.

    Advice to Management

If you would take the time to interview and pay the money to hire educated and experienced adults who would stay for many years, you would not have to use resources micromanaging a day care environment because you have a large number of immature and uneducated associates who are just there to fill a seat and end up leaving within a year or two.

Hire outside of your cliquey group and relax on the adherence of keeping employees chained to the phones in Shareholder services.

Some competent employees. A lot of bluster and BS from the top. They're following outdated trends. MRP. Insurance benefits.
