I have been working at American Greetings part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It's part time, where they tell you the number of hours your card account(s) gets, and you work those hours on your own schedule.

    Cons

Management will not update you on information until the last minute. This company seems to change out territory leads often.

    Advice to Management

Warnings would be nice, and listening to staff when they say they need assistance would also be good.

The Company is engaging and friendly with the employees and a lot of flexibility is offered for the work environment

    Cons

Company is located on the far west side so if you are live on that side of town it is awesome otherwise a burden and long travels

I worked at American Greetings part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Mostly flexible hours, some nice co-worker, some nice manager

    Cons

Continues bigger workload, less hours, some so called "know-it-all-bosses" with no clue

    Advice to Management

Value your people more and pay the ones working hard and always perform under hours with a raise. Appreciated employees work even harder :)

I have been working at American Greetings part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility, Independence, Self-Directed, Slightly easygoing, Weekends off.

    Cons

    1. More work than it initially seems, there's lots of little details and NOT MUCH TIME GIVEN TO COMPLETE EVERYTHING-depending on if you've got higher volume stores.
    2. Very old technology, scanners from the. 90's. You do have to work some holidays.
    3. Not a full-time benefitted position
    4. Not good with giving out raises, but they send you a birthday card each year and a work bag at Christmas time.
    5. Not enough training-no ones got any spare time it seems.

    Advice to Management

Give raises, keep people who do a pretty good job happy. The job itself is ok, but it's just a job and not a career SO that's why people leave. You'd never be paid enough to live.

    Advice to Management

Higher pay for those quick to get in and out of stores and overturn of products.
