    Pros

Flexibility, HSA, great people, beautiful building, Starbucks within, located at Crocker Park, very thoughtful and caring place to work, lots of collaboration

Not much career pathing, very traditional, lots of layers, many people who have worked in the company for a long time that aren't open to change, old systems

I worked at American Greetings part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible job, but can get busy during specific holiday seasons. Have to work on some holidays, but overall it's not a big deal.

    Cons

Sometimes there can be a major difference in hours from week to week. You may have too many hours at a store one week and then not enough the next. Some stores can get overwhelmingly messy. But that's the nature of this job.

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed my manager and the training I received. I wasn't at this job too long, but didn't see anything glaring that needed to change.

    Pros

Flexible hours with lots of autonomy. Good for those with strong sense of organization.

    Cons

Work is much more complicated than at first glance. Detailed instructions not available on mobile device.

Continue investment in technology upgrades and outreach to field workers for ideas.

I worked at American Greetings part-time

    Pros

Good for part time work, very nice people to work with. Supervisor was awesome. Nice products. Fun job. Easy to navigate through website.

    Cons

Not a whole lot of hours are offered, and even less when theres no holidays. No benefits, and you are required to work on holidays.

    Advice to Management

Your company is awesome!! Your management and supervisors are awesome, and the products you offer are awesome!! I wish you could have offered more hours though.

    Pros

Flexible scheduling of your work week. Work by yourself not much interfacing with other American Greeting employees.

    Cons

Not enough hours to support yourself and there are no benefits. If you don't like working by your self this could be a down fall. When you do work with others be ware of their comments becoming yours. Also, suggests are either not listened to or are presented as someone else's idea.

    Advice to Management

I have seen a few opperitunties which have not lead to advancement unless you are a "yes" person.
