Reviews about "upper management"
Return to all Reviews- Current Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
There are some hard working people who are trying. Easy to rise up in several departments if you’re motivated because the salaries are so weak it’s tough to attract good people. It’s a lot like Club Med. You can see people walking around the building’s parking lot all hours of the day and nobody says anything (Yay wellness!!!) It seems to keep succeeding in spite of its senior managers.
Cons
Slowly disappearing benefits Need to squabble over money constantly Upper Management doesn’t make decisions (nobody wants to be wrong) Too many catchy acronyms that are soul killing and meaningless. ACE is the flavor of the year, nice aiming point but a complete joke when this place is steeped in processes that make zero sense and are not agile, collaborative or engaging.

Pros
Good insurance and great service
Cons
Terrible billing system and upper management.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
You are your own boss
Cons
Archaic applications/system, no assistance from colleagues in creating leads. No help from upper management. Spending tons of your own money for computer, printer, office equipment, etc. Wear & tear on your auto. Tons of cold calling

Pros
Coworkers are great, holidays off and the shorter hours are nice.
Cons
Terrible pay. Upper management is corrupt and doesn't listen. CDTs don't get floating holidays or benefits until you reach at least a year of working.
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
They offer 15 days of pro rated PTO as soon as hired. 3 floating holidays (basically PTO but without the name) Work is steady Currently offering flex schedules
Cons
- Lack of communication between upper and lower management. - Poor yearly raises for most lower level employees, even when extra responsibilities have been added to workload. - Management picks and chooses favorites. - The company no longer hosts employee appreciation events or give employees free merch (t-shirts, lanyards). - Health benefits are crap for the price we are paying. - Lack of disciplinary actions. Supervisors give their “favorites” too many chances to “fix” the same mistakes over and over again or go through the same training multiple times even when it is making other employees work load greater. - lack of recognition and credit to employees

Pros
Coworkers are great, holidays off and the shorter hours are nice. Some of the agents are great. Ability to advance within the department or go to a different department. I'd recommend as a stepping stone - not as a career.
Cons
Terrible pay. Upper management is corrupt and doesn't listen. Training takes a year, and with the high turnover, a unit is almost never full for long. One of the systems we use is super old and creates unnecessary work. Some agents get their way, despite the company wanting to be 'fair'.

Pros
Interesting work, pays for certifications, nice co workers, good work experience, 7.5 official work day, paid time off, casual Friday's
Cons
Poor mid and upper management, no competent strong leaders, every one is treated differently and has different expectations for their work.
- Former Employee, more than 10 years★★★★★
Pros
Good benefits, great coworkers.
Cons
Top down management. You're given too much to do with the criteria given and upper management doesn't want reasons when it's not done.

Pros
Paid training for someone looking to enter the industry. Will pay for continuing education. Lower level managers seem to care about their employees.
Cons
Plan to be stressed and overworked. On top of that its one of the lower paying companies in the industry. Extremely high turnover, which really just makes the problem worse. Management always appeared afraid like they were on the chopping block. Upper management tried to appear to have an open door policy but were very disconnected and unapproachable. Not a very caring company, just another corporation.

Pros
Good benefits with strong 401k plan and plenty of vacation time for new employees just starting out, strong job security in the right department, growth potential for hard workers
Cons
Very poor salaries, there is some disorganization in most areas, there is high turnover in the lower ranks which lead to poorly trained units and staff which in turn results in very micro-managing upper management. The customer service is very poor and the amount of agents leaving the company nearly equals the new ones coming in
