"Great place to work but upper management knocks at least two stars off"

    Pros

    - The benefits are really good.
    - The people are (mostly) good to work with (see below).
    - Great location.
    - Interesting business model.
    - At times challenging but rewarding work.

    Cons

    - Went through a management change recently and the company went from a bad CFO who is the #2 in the company to a worse one. He likes to micromanage everything and his personality is very abrasive, rude and awkward. He is widely disliked in the company and morale can get pretty low as a result. Conversely the new CEO is very affable and pleasant to work with.
    - Not a lot of room for upward mobility. Your job is pretty much your job. Which is fine of course but don't come here looking to move up.

    Advice to Management

ANSAC is mostly a great place to work. Partially not a great place due to the aforementioned personnel in the cons section which at this time means I would not recommend ANSAC to a friend seeking employment.

    Pros

Good benefits and mostly nice people to work with. Beautiful office location, convenient if you live in the area. Steady, dependable business model.

    Cons

What used to be a more "collegiate" working environment has been made much more corporate i.e. HR software and meetings until you can't possibly think you can meet anymore. New employee objective model has introduced unnecessary stress on employee annual goals.

Upper management also intensely micromanages instead of getting out of the way and letting employees do their job, many of whom have been here for longer than they have.

The less that's said about the CFO the better. Don't know how else to say it but he is not liked by just about everyone but what can you do? He's the CFO and that's that. He comes off as humorless, rude and an all-around unpleasant person to be managed by. Has almost zero regard for anyone else's time.

    Advice to Management

Get a new CFO, the mood around that place will increase ten-fold that day.
