I worked at American Pacific as an intern

The Engineering manager will more than happy to take me under his wing and teach me things
Several of the Engineers and designers were more than happy to teach me and show me the things I needed to know

    Cons

N/A it was a great job. When I graduated I was wishing I could have hired on full time

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at American Pacific full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pay for some positions is above average
Paid training in your line of work (usually but not always)

    Cons

No upward mobility (except for the top 1% who keep promoting themselves)
No pay increases, unless you are among the very, very special few who get promoted
    Toxic work environment
C-level management couldn't care less about the welfare of employees
Employees have no representation at the higher levels
    In short: just stay away!!

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at American Pacific full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There USED TO be at least some regard and concern for employee morale and welfare (NOT anymore, though)

    Cons

No career path or potential for upward mobility
Ambiguous policies and procedures and inconsistent application and enforcement of both
Lack of leadership, focus, and direction
Employees are deprived of fair and equitable treatment in work, bonuses, and recognition
Unable to attract, develop and retain talent

    Advice to Management

Get focused and start communicating with the staff. In uncertain times, information and transparency to the employees is key. Instead, executive management remained hidden behind closed-door meetings; neglected to communicate to employees all of the changes being implemented throughout the organization.
