I worked at American Railcar Industries full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Enjoyed working wit coworkers. Company traditions were valued, but appear to be going away.

    Cons

    Management at the executive level

    Advice to Management

Please value employees and engage in honest and open communications. Transparency can be achieved even in times of great change. Layoffs handled poorly. Rehire of many former employees is questionable.

I worked at American Railcar Industries full-time

    Pros

Great railcar experience to be gained.

    Cons

Management at this specific plant was all about the "good ol boys" club. If you get in then you are set. If you don't get in then it's an uphill battle to get the job done with quality and integrity since management's focus is production, production, production with no regard for quality.
