I worked at American Red Cross

    Pros

    Great mission, many caring employees

    Cons

The caring stops with the road staff. Management doesn't care how the blood gets collected, just that it does get collected. Short staffed? Make it work. Too many donors walking in ? Make it work. What? No time for lunch or break? Make it work. Management refuses to take responsibility and turns a blind eye to issues on the road. There are the "teacher's pets" that can do whatever they want, bullying, discrimination, black balling other staff. Management allows this to happen.
