I worked at American Savings Bank (Ohio) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great location, average pay, not many good points at all. Some fellow loan officers were nice, but majority unfriendly toward new loan officers

    Cons

Nasty clichés, if you don't fit you are out. No feedback on performance, supervisor throws you under the bus. Very rigid procedures that violate multiple industry regulations. Adverse towards any suggestions or change

    Advice to Management

You have a very poor recommendation from numerous former employees. Bad reputation in the mortgage industry. Wish I had done more research prior to working there. Very bad experience.

I worked at American Savings Bank (Ohio) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The locations of the branches in the Cincinnati market are excellant.

    Cons

There is a lot of cronyism at this little bank.

    Advice to Management

When the policy of American Savings Bank, fsb is to give primary consideration to current qualified employees to fill vacancies or new positions and that policy is not adhered to and only applies to friends or family members of executives or board members; that is the true defination of cronyism. When ASB elimiates positions on a whim, then creates a new position but does not post and/or give current employees the opportunity to apply and then gives the new position to a friend or family member, this too is the defination of cronyism.
