    there is absolutely no positive

    Cons

Long hours, low pay, lack of advancement

    Advice to Management

Management expects you to move the world and some in such a short amount of time with limited help at times. How about you help instead of complain and not lift a finger in times of need.

    Pros

fun job great people in the store

    Cons

Pay has diminished over the years. commissions reduced and now lots of product out for months. so if something is sold today, i my not get paid on that for 2 months. NOT FAIR. Store paid, manufacturer paid, but not the one that sold it. custom orders now a big part of our inventory, more months before we get paid.

    Advice to Management

figure out a way to pay the salespeople on written orders that take forever to get in. does not seem to be a problem for other furniture companies that we compete with.

I worked at American Signature Furniture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you're a delivery driver or helper the money is a decent salary. You are independent in most aspects with this position and work at your own pace to ensure the process goes smoothly.

    Cons

Management and overall operations is terrible, they don't care for their employees and will walk all over you. They talk about changes and nothing ever happens. They add more work and will not compensate you for your work.

    Advice to Management

Hire new management that will be helpful in the everyday operations and do more than just sit in there office and expect you to do someone else job. Take care of your employees and listen to their concerns instead of sweeping it under the rug.

I have been working at American Signature Furniture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the best people I have ever worked with. The company has a values system that they live. It is a very positive environment with a family feel.

    Cons

The only con I can think of is the nepotism. Sometimes tough decisions need to be made just because you know or are related to someone at the "top" does not mean you are the best fit for the job. It also should not mean you do not have to follow the same rules. This happens quite a bit and creates a lot of negativity.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!! The only thing that needs to change is the nepotism and that needs to start from the very top. The sky is the limit otherwise for this company,

I have been working at American Signature Furniture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They pay you every week. Management listens okay. Fund raising for Susan B Komen is a great experience there.

    Cons

They used to give out gifts cards and merchandise to high performers, not any more. You have to be a Jewish white man to be an executive, if you are not a Jew, do not think you are going to get any where higher than mid level. You are not permitted to use the bathroom on your shift except on breaks, you need a doctor's note to use the bathroom. Certain bathrooms are not permitted to be used except by executives and their families. They tell you to go to the break room when there is no break room at all. Reactive management instead of proactive.Work 3 years to get 1 week vacation. You have to work all the days and and required to work over time as much as an additional 10 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

Allow people to go to the restroom outside of their breaks within a reasonable limit, say 10 minutes. Stop being exclusive to Jewish white men, open opportunities to other people. Offer valuable incentives for performance, like furniture, gift cards, cash, and time off. Allow more vacation. Combine sick time and vacation so we can combined paid time off.You are perceived as racist at the management level.
