    Pros

It’s not a bad job the company is strong, Good discount when buying furniture

    Cons

No raises, no reward for excellence, they allow bad workers to stay, no 401(k) match, they don’t give you anything unless you pay for it

    Advice to Management

Treat the good workers you have well punish the bad workers or remove them before they toxify the environment

I worked at American Signature Furniture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of my coworkers are still people I talk to, and learned a lot from.
Gym inside the building was great, had towel service.
Flexible on working from home and days off for our particular group.
You gain experience at a tremendous pace.

    Cons

They unfortunately continue to perpetuate the Gender Pay Gap among employees with the same jobs.
There are individuals that commit inappropriate behavior and harassment at work, and there is no follow through on action.
Favoritism over performance is a large issue.
There are also individuals who commit sexist and misogynistic behavior in the work place, and HR has failed to appropriately act on it.
There are a host of structural issues and issues with follow through on the improved values and benefits.
Particularly in the area I worked in there was a very toxic culture on work life balance, and how stressful work should be.
They unfortunately postpone career advancement opportunities for many individuals who have proven they can do the work and take on extra responsibility.

It's really unfortunate as there are a lot of people who are there working hard and trying to make that company the best it can be, but there are people who are in the way that prevent a lot of positive change from being heard, and perpetuate a negative and toxic culture. It's sad because good talent has left because of it.

    Advice to Management

Listen to those who have spoken up to make the right changes that are needed. Not addressing the gender pay gap, and the inappropriate and harassment behavior of some drives good talent away or makes them feel trapped. There are a lot of great people working there, but the toxic and stressful culture makes it hard for them to create the best work they can.

    Pros

This company has amazing people, from both a professional and personal perspective. There is also a lot of transparency her,, so you are exposed to many areas within the business and what it going on in them.

    Cons

Like any company, there are flaws. There is some gray area when it comes to hierarchy and how certain things are communicated. You will see this pretty much anywhere you work though.

Average Healthcare, Restrictive Dental (some normal procedures - no coverage at all)

    Add a 5% 401k Match
Add a way to be rated objectively based on performance
Add Annual Salary reviews and minimal cost of living increases.
